Pakistan pilgrims pray for flood victims

MARIAMABAD, September 6, 2010--Survivors of Pakistan’s floods were in the hearts and minds of thousands of people attending an annual pilgrimage to the National Marian Shrine in Mariamabad.

Sermons, prayers and donations were all dedicated to flood survivors at the Sept. 3-5 gathering, which this year had the theme: Holy Mary, Queen of the Universe.

Javanese Catholics learn organic farming

PURBALINGGA, September 6, 2010--A Central Java diocese has launched its Year of Agriculture Care with a day of planting trees and making organic fertilizer.
